Bankruptcy filings have fallen in the Toledo area for the 11th month in a row.
Last month in the Toledo court, there were 534 new bankruptcy cases filed. This is down from 734 that were filed last July. This court covers 21 northwest Ohio counties.
With the number of filings in July added to the count, there have been 3,774 cases filed since this time last year. This number is down nearly 21 percent from one year ago. Officials have said that most of these filings have been for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
